Ok, I’m coming clean. Waaaaaay back in my younger days, I may have partaken, did I say that right? Partaken? Partook? Nope, I think it’s partaken. I’m going with that. I may have, at one time, partaken in a little bit too much tequila.
Now, don’t judge me! Because I bet there are a few of you out there that have drunken secrets lingering in your closets. Those things that you have hidden far, far away from your children until they are old enough to handle the truth that you used to actually be fun and a little crazy. Those same stories you tell your mother when you are in your thirties. I know you know.
There is that one type of alcohol that you simply cannot stomach. Which usually happens after spending the night praying to the porcelain god, then swearing you will never, ever, ever drink again.
Again, I know you know. It’s cool.
Well, Tequila is that drink for me. One whiff, and I’m done! Yuck, just the thought…
However, today is National Margarita Day and even though a shooter is not gonna happen, Margaritas are still one of my favorite cocktails. I absolutely ♥♥♥ a sweet, fruity, delicious Margarita on the rocks. And it’s gotta have a salted rim. Oh, and some sort of fruity garnish, just because it’s pretty.
This Margarita is a classic made even better with freshly squeezed orange juice. You’re gonna love it. Even if tequila is that drink that got the best of you. You will totally forget your past indiscretions while sipping this cocktail.

Recipe Notes
I decorated mine with starfruit, just because it's pretty. But it's totally not necessary.
